I am a graduate of the Holistic Doula Program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, B.C.

(Please see the page on the Holistic Doula for a more in depth description of my training.)

My passion for Doula work was inspired by my experience of following my daughter’s pregnancy and witnessing the birth of my grandson Cooper.

I grew up in a household of five children and lived in a community where I was able to babysit from the age of twelve.  I remember always being surrounded by children.

My favourite family hired me as a summer nanny to help care for their two year old daughter and new baby. (That was when we used cloth diapers & pins!)  I remember changing the baby's diaper when the remnants of the umbilical cord fell away. It was a magical time for me.

I have given birth twice.  I had a very unique birthing experience with each daughter. I lived away from my family both times and would have benefited from having a doula; especially with my second born, who was premature.

As a result of my own birth background, I value supporting women through their pregnancy and postpartum period. I have had personal experience with Antenatal and Postpartum Depression so I have great compassion and understanding of those challenges.

I have completed many workshops during my training including Thai Massage, Acupressure, Breastfeeding, Postpartum Support and use these skills to support my clients.

As a visual artist I enjoy using my creativity to make belly casts as a beautiful keepsake for you and your family.

I look forward to sharing your birth journey with you.
